Why Being K-Fans is Much More Advantageous Than You Think

K-Fans

Did you know that more than half of the people living in this world are in love with K-pop (or Korean pop)? Surprised? Me too. K-pop has taken a very big step into the international music society. And it got tremendous response from people around the world.
Many people around the world liked them and become their fans. These people are called K-popers. K-popers are the fans of the K-pop music genre, and the number of them is not small, there are a lot of them and it’s growing every time. The fans like K-pop, spazz them a lot, because they enjoy the music and have fun with it. And did you know, that there are actually some positive effects of becoming a K-pop fan? The positive effects of becoming a K-pop fan are that we could learn another language, be more creative, and have more friends from all over the world.

If you like K-pop, you must feel familiar with the Korean language. It is because your idol, and their songs are all in Korean. That’s why, when you joined the fandom, you will automatically know some basic Korean words. This is one of the positive effects of becoming a K-pop fan. We could learn new language, and that is Korean language. There are many ways to learn it. We could do it by watching some K-shows, listening to your favorite group’s songs, or even taking language course to make you understand the language even more. K-popers usually do these, because they want to communicate with their idol. They want to communicate through their social media accounts and make them noticeable. And by this reason, they learn a little bit of Korean language. I, myself learned it too and it is pretty simple. That’s why people like it and want to learn more about it.

Being more creative is also one of the positive effects of becoming a K-pop fan. Usually, some K-popers did something that could attract their idol’s attention, such as wearing and making clothes that are linked to their idol. Sounds silly, huh? But it’s common in the K-pop society and many people actually did that. They make their own clothes and wear them to concerts, or meet and greet, or even just a gathering with other fans. For example, their idol is linked with giraffe, because he maybe is very tall. Then, his fans are usually trying to catch his attention by wearing some giraffe-ish clothes. Or even making one and wear it themselves. They did it for fun, and they enjoyed it. The other K-popers are usually doing something different. They usually start out a business, like online shops, or even a real store. And they sell some stuffs and K-pop merchandise there. Some of them actually made the merchs themselves and sell it, the others are usually buying them from South Korea and then sell them at their own store. These are all a very creative way of thinking, because they make their own money themselves without asking them from their parents.

When you join a fandom, you must know that there are a lot of other people inside it. This is why you will have more friends. Your friendship circle might grow, from just regional, to national, or even international friends. Because K-popers spread all over the world, and the number of them is increasing, you could meet them just everywhere. You might find them in your school, your neighborhood, your course, etc. And don’t forget that there are actually more of them outside of the country, which you will meet on the Internet. This will enlarge your friendship circle (as I said before), because you will meet a lot of other people and especially, you will meet foreigners. You could meet them by chatting online through social media, or meet them personally when you attend some K-pop events. By meeting foreigners, you will chat and talk to them using English, and this means that it’ll help you broaden your English language even more as well.

To conclude, being a K-pop fan is not just to spazz over your favorite group and support them, but we could also get some benefits, such as learning another language, being more creative, and having more friends from all over the world.
